What we collect, why, and how to ask us to delete it.
This policy explains how Safari.today (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through safari.today.
What we collect
- Email address — when you request The First-Time African Safari Planner, along with the page you signed up on and the time.
- Messages — anything you send us by email or WhatsApp.
- Usage data — if analytics is enabled, anonymous information about how the site is used (pages viewed, device type, approximate location), collected by Google Analytics.
We use a short-lived security measure to prevent spam signups, which processes a one-way hash of your IP address; we do not store your IP address itself.
How we use it
- To send you the planner you requested and occasional safari stories and advice.
- To reply to your questions and help you plan a trip.
- To understand which content is useful and improve the site.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run the site: our web host, our email provider, Google Analytics (if enabled) and WhatsApp when you choose to message us there. If you ask us to help plan a trip, we will only share your details with a safari operator with your permission.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Messages are kept for as long as needed to help you.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time by replying “unsubscribe”. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email inquiries@safari.today and we will respond promptly.
